Hello !
I am glad you are here. MAPS would love to help empower your family’s inner compass so you can enjoy a smooth sail.
I am a postdoctoral psychology fellow at Eastside Psychological Associates working towards obtaining my psychologist license under the supervision of Bethany Balkus, Psy.D., L.P.. I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults, as well as their parents/caregivers, who are seeking support related to:
Autism, ADHD, and other forms of neurodiversity
Mealtime challenges/Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)
Behavior challenges
Anxiety and depression
Executive functioning challenges
Stress, traumatic experiences, and life transitions
Parent training & consultation
I use an integrative approach to therapy including cognitive-behavioral, family system, behavioral, interpersonal based theoretical orientations. My approach to assessments is strengths based and neurodiversity affirming. In addition, as a first-generation immigrant, I understand the struggles and resilience of being bilingual/bi-cultural (Mandarin-Chinese) adapting to a new culture. I embrace my multicultural background and naturally carry a kin sensitivity and awareness when working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
